The Kimberley Bid from the Levelling Up fund has been successful which included
- A new active travel route to link up Kimberley with Eastwood, Giltbrook, Phoenix Park Tram Stop and Bennerley Viaduct.
- Construction of an accessible Eastern Ramp at Bennerley Viaduct, a Grade 2* listed railway viaduct of great historical and cultural significance and important tourist attraction.
Railway Ramblers has been a big supporter of Friends of Bennerley Viaduct for some time and has recently donated to cast iron benches which will be installed at the top of the Western Ramp in the Spring. This a great news as it will bring more visitors to the old GNR line which crossed the viaduct until it closed in 1968
