Nottingham Railways Remembered are hosting an exhibition celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the opening of Nottingham Victoria Station. It has all been organised by the amazing Nottingham historian Janine Turner. The exhibition runs from 31st May to 6th June. It will feature about 150 photographs, along with maps, plans, artefacts from the station and the lines.
A centrepiece is a huge plan of the station, saved from a bin as the building was demolished.
It is being held in the Victoria Centre shopping centre, which was built on the site after the station closed in 1967. The exhibition will be in South Square ie outside Boots and Next!
