RR Magazine Winter 2021/22 – out soon

The Winter 2021/22 edition of the Club Magazine – Railway Ramblings – is soon to be sent to members. Join Railway Ramblers now to receive your copy. Membership is just £10 per year!

 

The magazine is published each quarter and sent to every member.

The Winter issue contains 48 pages, in full colour, and includes the Editorial and Notes from the Chairman regarding club activities and matters talked about at the recent AGM. There are also a series of aricles from Somerset. The magazine also contains regular features such as National News, Mystery Location, Walk Reports.

Letters


There are letters to the Editor on a variety of subjects including Hunmanby tile map restoration, Sighting towers, a mystery object and more news on Broadway to Honeybourne in response to a letter in the previous magazine

Club Led Walks Programme


The magazine contains the full list of walks available to members across the country in the coming months. Prospective members can contact us in advance to join some of the walks where there are available places. Some of the walks are listed here

Former Station Sites


This edition covers Nottingham London Road, High Level station. It opened in May 1900 and closed to traffic in 1967. Some of the buildings are retained, and the magazine has some old photographs, although the area around the site has been developed in recent times.
